Jenni Toivonen is a Finnish photographer (b. 1993) who's working mainly as a freelancer. 

She holds a BA in Photojournalism and Social anthropology from the University of Tampere and has also studied documentary photography in Buenos Aires. At the moment she is working on her MA in Photography in Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture. 

She sees photography and visual storytelling as ways of social activism and her interests include themes such as migration, identity, women's rights and environmental issues. Through photography her aim is to tell stories, give perspectives and investigate our changing society.
